The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is hosting its first Advanced Air Mobility Symposium (AAM 2024) from 9 to 12 September 2024 in Montréal, Canada. The theme of the symposium is “Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Global Harmonization and Interoperability: Challenges and Opportunities.”
AAM 2024 will focus on the latest developments in advanced air mobility, including electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, vertiports, automation, trust frameworks, and airspace integration. The symposium will build upon the progress made in DRONE ENABLE and address various dimensions of new mobility concepts and infrastructure.
Key stakeholders from industry, academia, government, and international organizations will gather to exchange research, best practices, lessons learned, and challenges in the field of advanced air mobility and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). The event will also highlight ongoing ICAO activities related to AAM and UAS, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to integrate these technologies into the global aviation system.
